Marketing Communications
You expressly consent to receive marketing and event communications from Bitcoin for Corporations (BFC), operated by BTC Media LLC (“BTC”), including updates on membership, symposiums, events, research, and partnership opportunities. You may opt out of marketing communications at any time by emailing bitcoinforcorporations@btcmedia.org. Note: You may not opt out of transactional communications directly related to your registration.
Networking & Data Sharing
You expressly consent to have your name, title, and company shared with fellow attendees, BFC members, sponsors, and select third-party partners, such as event sponsors and co-organizers; a list of partner categories is available upon request, for networking and event-related purposes. Such third-party partners are contractually required to use your information solely for event-related networking purposes and are prohibited from selling, renting, or further sharing your personal data. By registering, you acknowledge and expressly consent to your personal data being transferred to and processed in the United States by BTC Media, LLC and its affiliates. Data protection laws in the United States may differ from those applicable in Hong Kong.
Photography & Media
Photography, audio, and video may be captured during the event and used by BTC and its affiliates for promotional, editorial, and marketing purposes. Your attendance constitutes your consent to be photographed, filmed, or recorded, and your waiver of any claims against BTC or its affiliates arising from such use. You are not authorized to record, photograph, film, reproduce, or distribute any speaker presentations, panel discussions, or other event content for commercial purposes without the express written permission of BTC and the relevant speaker or sponsor. Personal, non-commercial use is permitted, provided you do not infringe upon any third-party intellectual property or privacy rights.
Your Rights
You may withdraw consent, request access to your personal data, or request correction or deletion at any time by contacting bitcoinforcorporations@btcmedia.org. If you are located in Hong Kong, you have the right to request access to and correction of your personal data held by BTC. Data access or correction requests may be subject to a reasonable processing fee as permitted by law.
Data Processing & Governing Entity
Bitcoin for Corporations is operated by BTC Media LLC, a US-based entity. BTC Media LLC acts as the data controller in respect of personal data collected through this registration. By registering, you acknowledge that your data will be processed in accordance with applicable law.
Code of Conduct & Event Rules
By registering, you agree to comply with BTC’s Code of Conduct (b.tc/conduct) and the following event rules: (a) be respectful and professional toward all attendees, staff, and speakers — aggression, intimidation, threats, or mistreatment will not be tolerated; (b) weapons and incendiary objects are prohibited and may be confiscated at our discretion; (c) you must carry valid photo identification at all times; (d) persons under 18 must be accompanied by a responsible adult at all times; (e) persons visibly under the influence of drugs or alcohol may be refused admission; (f) distribution of flyers or other materials at or around the venue is prohibited without express written permission; and (g) intentional damage to the venue or contents is prohibited. Violation of any of the above rules may result in immediate expulsion from the event without a refund, at the sole discretion of BTC.
Assumption of Risk
You acknowledge that you are participating in the event voluntarily and are fully aware that physical injury, loss, or other damage might occur as a result of your participation. You assume all risk and full responsibility for yourself. BTC is not responsible for your personal or business property, and you agree to hold BTC and its affiliates harmless in the event any property is damaged, stolen, or misplaced while attending the event.
Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, BTC MEDIA LLC, ITS AFFILIATES, OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AND AGENTS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY DIRECT, INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH YOUR ATTENDANCE AT OR INABILITY TO ATTEND THE EVENT, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION PERSONAL INJURY, PROPERTY DAMAGE, LOSS OF REVENUE, OR LOSS OF DATA, WHETHER BASED IN CONTRACT, TORT, OR ANY OTHER LEGAL THEORY.
Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless BTC and its affiliated companies from any and all damage, loss, liability, claim, or expense, including reasonable legal fees, arising out of or in connection with: (a) any violation of law or ordinance by you or your guests while at the event; (b) property damage or personal injury caused by you or your guests at the event venue; and (c) your presence in and use of the event premises.
Refund Policy
All ticket sales are final. We do not offer refunds for any reason, including denial of travel visas, travel disruptions, illness, or any other factor preventing your attendance. You assume all risks associated with travel visa applications and any circumstances preventing your attendance. In the event BTC cancels or significantly modifies the event due to force majeure (see Force Majeure & Event Changes), any refund eligibility will be determined in BTC’s sole discretion.
Force Majeure & Event Changes
BTC shall not be liable for any failure or delay resulting from causes beyond its reasonable control, including without limitation: acts of God, natural disaster, fire, flood, pandemic or public health emergency, actions or regulations of any governmental authority, war, terrorism, civil unrest, communication failures, or power failures. BTC reserves the right to alter the advertised content, schedule, timing, or venue of the event, or to cancel, postpone, or reschedule the event at any time at its sole discretion. BTC will not be liable for any cost, expense, or loss incurred by you as a result of such changes, including registration, travel, or accommodation expenses. You assume all risk and responsibility for your travel to and attendance at the event.
Anti-Harassment Policy
BTC is committed to providing a harassment-free experience for all event attendees. We do not tolerate harassment of attendees, participants, sponsors, or organizers by any party. Harassment includes, but is not limited to, offensive verbal comments regarding personal appearance, sexual orientation, gender, disability, or religion; intimidation or threatening behavior; stalking; abusive recording of other attendees; disruption of conference sessions; inappropriate physical contact; and unwanted personal attention. Participants asked to cease harassing behavior must comply immediately. Violations may result in expulsion from the event without a refund, at BTC's sole discretion. If you experience or witness harassment, please contact event staff immediately.
Governing Law & Dispute Resolution
These terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-law provisions. Subject to the Hong Kong Carve-Out below, any dispute arising out of or relating to these terms or your attendance at the event shall be resolved by binding arbitration in Nashville, Tennessee, administered by JAMS under its then-current rules.
